Here at False Island Lodge we are very unique as we can offer a multuide of things that is not usually offered in one place. We are located 40 miles north west of world famous fishing capital of the world Sitka, Alaska. We located ourselves between Baranof and Chichagof islands for one reason to offer people one of the most successful fishing destinations in the world. We have the capability to fish the coast line of Baranof Island which is extremely rich in fish. Or we can fish the untouched inside passage teaming with fish waiting to be caught. We offer both Guided and unguided trips so we can accommodate every type of fisherman. We strive to meet everyone needs including being successful. We offer many different activities so you can do as much or as little as you choose.

The lodge is a 150-foot floating self-contained lodge. We have the capability to handle up to twenty guests at a time very comfortably. We strive at the lodge to offer a comfortable uncrowded atmostphere.The cooking is second to none and loved by everyone. Our cook prides herself on doing nothing but the best for the client's weather it be gourmet or something simple its no problem. The service that you recive at the lodge will be some of the best in the world. And the rooms are very comfortable and spacious.

The boats we fish aboard some of the most comfortable boats ever built. We fish 29-foot Almars with heated cabs and each boat has a head comfortable for both men and women. Our boats are full walk arounds on the same level for optimum fishing and easy access. The captains that run the boats are native Alaskan, as is the Lodge owner. We pride ourselves on hiring the best avaible for the clients to ensure a successful trip. Our self-guided boats are very well equipped 16-foot Lunds that perform very well on the ocean.

A little bit about the operator and head captain. My name is Mitch McGraw, and I was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. I have owned my own boat since I was 11 years old, and knew that I wanted very much to be in the fishing industry. We opened this lodge to offer not only the famous fishing of Sitka Alaska, but to offer much more for our clients. So we came up with False Island Wilderness Lodge located in Peril Straights. With all of the activities to do after the fishing, it makes every thing a whole lot more fun. Would you prefer sitting in a hotel, or out taking pictures of bears and trout fishing? Well I am at the lodge full time so I can ensure that everything goes smoothly for every one that chooses to visit us.
